Hello everyone! In this blog, my group and I will talk about the conventions in three different music videos of the song genre 'R&B'. This genre is where our chosen song "Love Songs" by Kaash Paige resides. 
   
 The first music video is "How We Roll" by Ciara and Chris Brown.

  • viewers are able to notice the female characters' makeup in the music video. it does not look like the males have any makeup on

Title Research: Archive 81

  What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? "Archive 81" bombards its audience with confusing and constantly changing imagery. This adds a level of mystery and unknown to the already cryptic film. There are scenes of many TV screens broadcasting an unknown individual talking to panning an anonymous face. From the start alone, the title sequence tells the audience that there are many things for them to learn as they watch the film. The sequence is full of disarray and holds are dark atmosphere. It manages to give off the sense that there is something big being kept a secret and it gives a level of intrigue to finding out the mystery.  What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? For one, the title uses dark shading which is used for things like concealing and revealing different kinds of information.
